Job Description
The Montessori Teacher will:
  • Teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons while holding true to the Montessori Model.
  • Implement curriculum in a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth and development.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Establish classroom management utilizing positive coaching.
  • Encourage and assist in positive social interactions.
  • Facilitate classroom activities.


Experience and Education:
  • AMI or AMS certification not required- Willingness to receive Montessori training and coaching during the 2023 summer and 2023-2024 school year.
  • Specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation Premont ISD is an equal opportunity employer.
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledgeable about Montessori philosophy and materials.
  • Prior experience with 5-9 year olds.
Salary:
  • Salary commensurate with experience and an additional stipend.
Other:
  • Summer training
  • Must be willing to travel.
