Inova Fairfax Central Monitoring is looking for a full time Monitoring Technician to join our Central Monitoring team. This role will work 3 12 hour night shifts each week with rotating weekends

Responsibilities

• Measure EKG waveforms, by using accepted standards and guidelines, of which the results provide the current data required to determine appropriate treatment of arrhythmias and immediate intervention of life-threatening situations.
• Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretations by analyzing and recording atrial and ventricular rates and rhythms.
• Continuously observing monitor screens for proper waveform on each telemetry patient in order to prevent loss of signal and ensure accurate capture of potential cardiac events.

Requirements

• Prior telemetry monitoring experience/EKG monitoring in a hospital setting strongly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
