Modeling And Simulation Engineer (Ctec/Sctec)

CFD Research is seeking a talented Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join a well-established AvMC/S3I CTEC/SCTEC team that supports analysis of missile defense systems. In this role, the Modeling and Simulation Engineer will work with tactical source code and all-digital models of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) radars and the C2BMC battle manager. Common tasks include, but are not limited to: Develop and integrate software into simulation environments Develop and utilize tools to support radar and weapon system performance analysis relating to: detection, target discrimination, tracking, guidance, intercept, electronic attack/protection Advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems Analyze software program needs and assist in troubleshooting The candidate will work in a dynamic environment that promotes team interaction, collaboration, and the development of creative solutions to challenging problems. Requirements: Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Minimum degree required is a Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent 3+ years' experience performing software development in Windows and Linux environments using MATLAB, python and compiled languages such as C/C++, Java, and/or Fortran. Position requires strong analytic skills, and interest/experience in radar and missile defense topics The candidate should be familiar with the fundamentals of distributed version control for software development. Location: This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
