Position Description
Dynetics, a Leidos Company, is seeking a talented Entry-Level Aerospace Engineer to join our team. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, providing responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
In this group, you will work to solve complex engineering problems with a highly technical, multidisciplinary team, consisting of aerospace engineers, computer scientists, research scientists, and statisticians.
Our group applies aerospace and machine learning concepts to solve technical problems on a variety of aerospace applications. Your skills will be used to model the dynamics of aerodynamic systems, perform analysis via end-to-end simulations, and develop novel capabilities on new and existing manned and unmanned systems.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering from an accredited college or university.
Bachelor’s with 0 to 4 years or Master's with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in aerospace applications.
Fundamental understanding of core aerospace concepts, such as vehicle and attitude dynamics, control systems, and flight mechanics.
Fundamental understanding of mathematical concepts including linear algebra and dynamical systems theory.
Highly proficient in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB.
Understanding of machine learning, neural networks, and statistics is preferred.
Solid technical communication skills and an ability to work in both collaborative team environments and independently.
Other Qualifications
Master’s degree is strongly preferred but not required.
Additional experience with other programming languages such as C++ is desirable.
Active security clearance is desirable.
Security Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
