Position Summary

• Must be capable of rigging and lifting small & large loads and be knowledgeable in the inspection of various lifting devices such as shackles, eyebolts, cables & slings, etc.
• Must be capable of drawing detailed sketches of various rotating equipment when needed
• Must be capable of using hydraulic presses to remove couplings and bearings
• Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints and repair manuals
• Must be capable of consistently and accurately reading precision measuring tools
• Must be capable of troubleshooting and providing failure analysis on rotating and reciprocating equipment
• Must be capable of performing routine task safety and efficiently without risk of harm to self or others
• Must be capable of performing maintenance and repairs on ANSI pumps and Single and multi-stage vertical and horizontal pumps, compressors, blowers, Mag pumps, gearboxes, vacuum pumps, etc.
• Must possess general knowledge of different types of bearings, mechanical seals, compressor packing, couplings, and their applications
• Must be capable of safety operating drill presses, bearing heaters, manual bearing puller and band saws
• Must possess good communication skills
• Must be capable of following all shop procedures and safety rules without exception
• Must be capable of setting impeller clearances and performing simple alignment

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 – 6 years’ experience in related field
• Minimum 4 – 6 years in Industrial Construction/Maintenance Industrial Experience
• NCCER Certified - NCCER Certified Plus

Rate of Pay: Up to $37.50, depending on experience
