Middle Office Trade Support Analyst

Overview of the team/department:

This role will be within the newly formed Trade Support Group which sits within the wider Operations team

The Trade Support Group directly supports Trading Assistants & Portfolio Managers, including supporting all aspects of trade capture, trade flow, new product & user set-up. It also works closely with various Technology teams to build & integrate new processes & technology, as well as help establish & police best practices across Trading Desks & Asset Classes

Role requirements:

Sitting on/proximate to our Rates Trading Desk, responsibilities will include

• Building strong relationships with TAs & PMs in order to act as a conduit between Desk & Operations/other Infrastructure teams
• Building & implementing monitoring processes to help develop understanding of TA & PM performance, specific to key aspects of trade booking quality, consistency & timeliness
• Liaising with Operations teams to identify & resolve exceptions/trade flow issues
• Establishing standardised & controlled trade capture processes across each asset class
• Timely & accurate booking of new trades/unwinds/novations/expiries
• Helping facilitate the integration of new technology infrastructure (trade booking tools, execution venues etc)
• Providing operational support directly to Trading Assistants & Portfolio Managers

NB – this role will not involve any execution or trading activity

Experience required:

• Experience of UAT testing & integration of new technology infrastructure
• Track record of designing/building/improving operational processes
• Relevant Middle Office/TA experience within an established Buy and/or Sell side organisation, specifically that involves direct interaction with TAs and PMs
• Strong understanding of interest rates products, particularly OTC and Listed F&O
