Microsoft Systems Engineer- 100% Remote

Jacksonville, FL

Our client, a vibrant Fortune 500 company nestled in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida, is in a phase of remarkable growth. While this role offers the flexibility of remote work, the selected candidate will be cherished as an essential part of our team and should align with Eastern Standard hours.


To qualify for this role, you MUST HAVE permanent work authorization and not need sponsorship now or in the future. This is not C2C eligible and has no brokering available.

This role offers advanced Level 3 support for both front-end and back-end infrastructure. Responsibilities encompass M365 design, implementation, and expert-level support for the tenant. Contributes to cost estimates and project plans, producing and upkeeping technical documentation, user guides, and reports for sustained technology operations. Assigned to extra projects, systems, and ventures. As the IT Systems Engineer, takes the lead, supervises outcomes, imparts training, and stands as a technical focal point for fellow IT systems in projects and initiatives.

  • Systems Design (45%)- Researches and designs solutions for maintenance, new functionality, and enhancements. Partners with IT and business teams for requirements, collaborates on design, and resolves complex issues. Adapts designs as business changes, ensuring optimal solutions.
  • Project Management (10%)- Guides scope planning, minimizes risks, and aids in project forecasting. Creates technical documentation, user guides, and tests. Fosters collaboration between business and IT, aligning solutions with strategy, while mentoring junior engineers.
  • System Maintenance (45%)- Manages Microsoft Suite, e.g., Office 365, Windows Server. Analyzes business needs for tech requirements, suggests solutions, aids cloud migrations, and creates clear technical docs.


Requirements:

  • Desired Certifications: Azure certification, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
  • Background in Cloud or on-premises virtualization
  • While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, a high school diploma is required
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, M365, and AD Domain Migration through hands-on experience
  • 5 or more years of pertinent experience, including proven expertise in administrating and overseeing a Microsoft 365 tenant
