Role and Responsibilities

As a Microsoft 365 Security Consultant at Cyclotron, you’ll make a tangible security improvement in diverse enterprise organizations by guiding and assisting enterprise deployments of Microsoft 365 and Azure tools across security, compliance, identity, device management, device virtualization, and more. You will be the implementation engineer that works with Cyclotron clients to design and deploy industry-leading solutions to improve the protection of Microsoft-based assets within their on-premises and cloud environments. You will work with other security engineers, consultants and architects on multiple client engagements, collaborating, sharing information, skills and experience. You will understand how to use a wide variety of approaches to improve cloud, network and endpoint security posture across Microsoft ecosystems. The ideal candidate for this job will be an individual who is friendly and communicative, willing to grow their skillset, and ready to help execute enterprise migrations in large environments to assist the client to make the most of their investments in Microsoft technologies and services.

• Able to create professional written deliverables of acceptable quality

• Interpret client scenarios and provide recommendations, given adequate preparation.

• Work with Security Architects and Project Managers to guide execution of client configurations, complete as-built documentation, and ensure client timelines are met.
• Execute prescriptive tasks such as configure policies, profiles and settings for Microsoft 365 products with clients
• Consistently maintain above 80% billable rate for their overall working time
• Skillsets include moderate to strong skillsets in 1-2 of the following main workloads:
  • Microsoft Defender suite
  • Microsoft Purview suite
  • Microsoft Entra (previously Azure Active Directory)
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Exchange Online
  • Azure Security
  • Azure Virtual Desktop/Windows 365
• Microsoft Defender suite

• Able to interpret individual design items within architectural design drafts of Microsoft 365 services to implement controls in client environments.
• Work directly with client teams for deployment and support of Microsoft cloud and on-premises security capabilities.

Experience

• Preferred: Currently holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or other relevant security industry certifications
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill with Microsoft cloud security solutions and services such as Microsoft 365 Defender, Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Information Protection, Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Microsoft 365 security capabilities
• Pre-requisite: At least 2 years of IT administration experience or prior IT consulting experience.
• Moderate experience with on-premises Microsoft security solutions including Windows 10, Windows Server and Active Directory as well as third party solutions used to protect Microsoft hosts
• Preferred: Currently holds Microsoft certifications including MS-102, MD-102, MS-500, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 or AZ-500
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to build customer confidence to successfully deploy solutions.
