Job Description
Our Young Adult Unit is a 14-bed unit that serves adult patients ages 18 to 30 who suffer from one or more psychiatric disorders. Our experienced staff has the capability to treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to: bipolar disorder, depression, and first-break psychosis.

As a Mental Health Worker you will:

  • Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
  • Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.

Requirements:

  • All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
  • Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
  • AHA CPR required before first day of employment
  • HS Diploma/GED. Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.

Location: Sheppard Pratt · Young Adult Unit
Schedule: Part Time (Benefits Eligible), Days and evenings, also rotating weekend shifts, 7am-3pm/ 3pm-11pm
