The Essential Duties Of The Response Team Member Are
The Response Team Member will serve as an emergency responder in emergency and alarm situations. This individual is utilized to provide additional security and safety to the environment and support Nursing Services to achieve crisis resolution.
  • Monitor the safety and security of assigned areas.
  • Prepare summary documentation concerning patient behavior, shift activity and action taken.
  • Monitor the environment for compliance with safety and security policy/procedures.
  • Adhere to rules and regulations governing the conduct of aggressive situations and patient status.
  • Complete patient and building searches.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency or crisis situations and may intervene in verbal disputes and/or provide physical intervention that includes restraining individuals utilizing the hospital approved crisis intervention model.
  • Escort individuals to appointments and activities inside or outside the facility.
The Norfolk Regional Center is Phase I of the Nebraska Sex Offender Treatment Program. The Sex Offender Treatment Program is for patients who have completed their criminal sentence but have been deemed at high risk to sexually reoffend if outside an inpatient treatment facility.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Be at least 19 years of age to work with adult client populations. Valid drivers license.
PREFERRED: One or more years of education or experience in human services or stable experience in customer service or military service, where the candidate is working with others, directly or indirectly.
