As the Dementia Care expert in our Assisted Living & Memory Care community, you will directly manage all dementia care staff as well as dementia activity professionals. You will manage the overall operation of the dementia care program in accordance with Belmont Village standards and state regulations.


Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and the Flu if employed in California.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts advanced Alzheimer's / dementia training for all staff & is the community dementia expert.
  • Works collaboratively with community management, regional & corporate support teams.
  • Effectively communicates with, educates & offers support to resident family members as needed.
  • Conducts cognitive assessments on prospective & current residents translating outcomes to service plans related to care & programming.
  • Management of all dementia caregivers and dementia activity leaders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years management experience in a comparable healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated successful use of technology in the workplace
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology or related field.
  • Flexibility to work and support a 24/7 community operation
  • Three (3) years hands-on dementia / Alzheimer's activity program facilitation experience
