Job Description
Eprine Community Services Inc is seeking a skilled Medical Records Clerk to manage and maintain patient medical records and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality. As a medical practice, Eprine Community Services values quality mental health and behavioral care services for our clients to lead them to unique paths of recovery and wellness.


The Medical Records Clerk is a vital member of our team, responsible for the organization, accuracy, and timely processing of medical records. This detailed-oriented individual will take pride in their work as they support the medical providers at Eprine Community Services, enhancing the client experience.


Responsibilities


  • Retrieve and file medical records in a timely and organized manner
  • Review records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Prepare charts for upcoming appointments
  • Manage the release of patient records, ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Process, maintain, and update patient medical records
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to access information and ensure medical records are up-to-date
  • Maintain inventory of medical records and ordering supplies as necessary


Requirements


  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus
  • At least one year of experience working with medical records
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
