The Medical Office Assistant is primarily responsible for appointment scheduling of physician follow-ups and coordinating with the infusion scheduler to make sure appointments are in order. This position will also perform regular maintenance of provider schedules according to the On Call schedule. Also collects co-pays and payments, answers basic billing questions, processes medical records batches, and answers incoming calls.
Qualifications: Associates Degree preferred, but not required. Three years in a physician's office with previous scheduling and collections experience is highly preferred. Experience with the Epic EMR, office skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance knowledge a plus. Excellent communication and computer skills is required
