Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide frontline handling of medical inquiries including the collection and triage of adverse events and product complaints and provision of standard response information
  • Utilize approved resources and FAQs to provide balanced, scientific, accurate, and thorough responses to unsolicited customer inquiries in accordance with company SOPs and Policies, and FDA regulations
  • Identify, document and triage product adverse events and/ or product quality complaints, using the Medical Information Request System (IRMS)
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal team members
  • Assist with the maintenance and tracking of reference literature for company products, competitors, and disease states
  • Manage Medical Information email mailbox and perform data entry of requests into IRMS
  • Demonstrate an understanding of infectious disease space
  • Contribute to departmental efforts to support Medical Affairs activities, including launch preparations for new products and assisting with inquiry metrics and customer insights
  • Assist in researching and developing written Medical Information responses, including medical response letters and FAQs
  • Understand and comply with literature copyright requirements


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, and laboratory diagnostic tests specifically in infectious disease
  • Experience working in CRMs or GPV databases is a plus
  • Customer-oriented approach and ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a drug information, medical information, or pharmaceutical call center
  • Infectious Diseases specialty training or experience is desirable
  • Computer literacy is required (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Teams; Zoom)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills

Education

RN, RPh or PharmD

For those with a BS/ MS in a health or life-science major, a minimum of 3 years of experience is required
