Reporting to the Sr. Director, Medical Education, the Medical Education Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective planning and execution of professional clinical education programs conducted for health care professionals (HCPs) as defined under the Physician Payment Sunshine Act for Treace Medical Concepts. This includes various program formats for the commercial organization, including, but not limited to, educational speaker programs and practical workshops. Responsibilities include all functions of course management and flawless on-site program execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the allocated budget for education programs and process HCP invoices in a timely manner
  • Plan and execute customer training courses for the business unit with a high level of quality
  • Lead collaboration with the business unit leadership to identify professional clinical education needs
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with faculty team
  • Manage all logistical, creative and editorial components from inception to course wrap-up
  • Ensure that professional education activities are executed within all applicable compliance and regulatory guidelines
  • Function as the liaison between internal stakeholders, participants and Medical Education faculty
  • Assess objective achievement for educational programs and revise/adjust future training programs
  • Achieve functional area goals and objectives set by the SVP for Clinical, Reimbursement & Medical Education and the Sr. Director, Medical Education
  • Provide status reports on professional education programs to management/auditor(s) as requested
  • Measure the effectiveness of educational programs/tools, resources and programs through the collection, analysis, reporting and utilization of data and event feedback
Availability for domestic travel (25-50% of the time) to support engagements
Qualifications
Other qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the AdvaMed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Health Care Professionals, Federal Anti-Kickback statutes, Medicare Fraud and Abuse laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Physician Payment Sunshine Act
  • Proficiency working with PC-based applications (Windows 10 and Microsoft Office)
  • Effective oral and written communication with medical professionals and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to independently set and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent communication, technical, customer service and people skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capacity for problem-solving such as anticipating, initiating, and resolving customer or vendor issues
  • Ability to be creative, prioritize, plan work activities, and use time efficiently
Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Device Sales and/or Marketing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management roles (or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing Professional Education programs/events
Preferred:
  • Minimum 1 year collaborating with outside vendors/partners
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office 365 and Quickbase
  • Previous medical device experience in the Orthopedic/Foot & Ankle market space
