Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our newly established vascular clinic. As a CMA in our clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our medical team in delivering comprehensive vascular services. Your expertise in both administrative and clinical duties will contribute to the smooth functioning of our clinic while ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Educate patients about conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient education materials
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure their availability when needed.
• Perform routine patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history documentation, and medication reconciliation.
• Assist in the coordination of diagnostic tests, referrals, and hospital admissions for patients.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care instructions, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
• Create a comfortable and empathetic environment for patients, addressing their concerns and providing emotional support.
• Conduct basic diagnostic tests such as blood pressure measurements, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and venous Doppler ultrasounds.
• Handle phone calls, inquiries, and triage messages promptly, providing necessary information or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
• Maintain proficiency in relevant medical software systems and stay updated with industry advancements and best practices through continuous professional development.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures related to vascular conditions.

Education

Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program.

Licensure/Certification

Experience:

Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from an accredited program.
