Job Description
Advance Urgent Care is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You will be responsible for assisting our healthcare providers in patient care, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and restock supplies as necessary
  • Administer medications and vaccinations under provider supervision
  • Provide excellent patient education and customer service to ensure patients have a positive experience
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care under their supervision
  • Prepare exam rooms for patient visits, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment
  • Greet and check in patients, obtain medical history and vital signs
  • Document patient medical history and visit details accurately in electronic medical record system


Requirements


  • Ability to work one weekend day per week
  • Ability to work three 12-hour shifts
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Proficient with computer software, including electronic medical records
