MEDICAL ASSISTANT FLOAT - FT/DAY - 3K sign on! Travel Pay!

Hiring non-certified candidates who have 10 months or more of clinical experience! Will pay for you to sit for the National Certification Exam!

We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our outpatient team and be part of a healthcare organization that values career growth and quality of life!

Work/Life: Monday-Friday Office Hours

Responsibilities:

  • Follow proper protocols for specimen collection and delivery.
  • Handle front-end functions such as scheduling, registration, check-in, check-out, and charge entry/claims.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs, and update electronic medical records accurately.
  • Obtain and maintain medical assistant certification.
  • Adhere to the St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain stocked and clean patient exam rooms.
  • Adhere to Universal Precautions and handle exposure incidents according to policy.
  • Collaborate effectively with providers, clinical staff, colleagues, managers, and others.
  • Address patient concerns, assist with referrals and pre-authorizations for diagnostic testing.
  • Notify physicians of patients requiring intervention.
  • Assist with document processing, scanning, and inbox monitoring.
  • Complete patient forms and ensure proper documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Comply with the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) care delivery model.
  • Perform office testing and handle medical waste appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: Graduate of a Medical Assistant Training Program and holds National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA).
  • Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 10 months of work and/or clinical training experience in the healthcare field.
