Position Summary

Mechanical Engineering Co-op
To be eligible, students must be actively enrolled at an accredited college/university (enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester or more).

All students must provide proof of enrollment status. Students who continue in intern assignments must provide a current copy of their grades from the prior semester.

All students hired for internship opportunities will be considered “at-will”, part-time teammates who are employed on a semester basis or on the basis required by a school’s co-op program. All students will have to meet the Company’s established performance objectives for interns.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering documentation / technical support guides to assist maintenance in troubleshooting
  • Design and model projects using Autodesk Inventor
  • Modify existing equipment per department cross functional team requests, for continuous improvement / automation activities under the guidance of a mentor.
  • Work with a mentor on gradually increasing responsibilities and technical knowledge
  • Work with vendors on purchasing parts and fabrication of designs to enable project completion

Competencies required:

  • Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and a hands-on learning approach
  • Strong verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates the eagerness to work and learn
  • Solid Technical Skills appropriate with level in school
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure design functionality
