Mechanical Designer (Solidworks) Jobs

We are currently looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer (SolidWorks) to join our team. This individual will be an integral part of our R&D and Engineering Department and collaborate closely with the Production team to design protective guarding solutions and pallet rack repair products. The main responsibilities of this role will involve producing detailed models, assemblies, and production drawings for new and existing products.

Responsibilities

• New Product Design/Development
• Product Revision Control - ECN
• Interaction with Epicor ERP system, Bill of materials and Bills of operations
• Maintain Updated Fabrication Documentation
• Provide / Develop Fabrication Documentation
• Maintain/Update CAD Library in PDM software.
• Create technical Documentation / Installation Instruction Content
• Continuous Design Improvement

Skills & Experience

• Experienced in sheet metal design.
• Familiar with engineering process, revisions, ECR, etc.
• Ability to communicate with sales, engineers, and fabricators.
• Detail oriented, organized with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects.
• Proficient with MS Office and Adobe.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD 2D drawings.
• Mechanical background, preferably in a fabrication environment.
• Prefer 3+ years experience with advanced SolidWorks in a PDM environment.
