Mechanical Assembly Technician Jobs

Summary:
What You'll Be Doing:

• Drill, cut, tap and punch copper and aluminum material according to our engineering drawings
• Put safety first, always
• Assist in assembling and fabricating mechanical parts and pieces of products using a variety of tools and equipment to required specifications (ex. saws, radial arm drills, air tools, gang drills, and hydraulic press)
• Identify product defects and ensure products meet quality standards
• Learn how to read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products

What You Need To Apply:

• Mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of machine operation for tools (saw, radial drill, gang drill)
• High school diploma or equivalent experience

Physical Demands:

• Constantly move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Specific abilities required by the job include positioning oneself to lift or move objects weighing to 40 pounds, pushing and pulling objects with up to 200 pounds Constant movement and use of limbs. Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.
• Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.
• Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
