As a MD Scribe, you will work with our ophthalmologists/surgeons by documenting information into Electronic Health Record and gather important medical information from the patient, perform preliminary tests, and gather measurements while providing highest quality of care and an exceptional patient experience.


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
  • Reviews patient visit details and preliminary work-up completed by Ophthalmic Technician to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to the provider exam
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Performs pretests including Goldmann Tonometry, extra-ocular muscle evaluation, confrontational visual fields, refractions, and lensometry as needed
  • Strong computer skills
  • Reviews provider’s schedules to confirm patients are scheduled correctly
  • Generates medication prescriptions as directed from the provider through Erx
  • Communicates any clinic flow concerns with facilitator and management
  • Educates patients on ophthalmic conditions and consent for procedures and surgery
  • Flexible schedule working Monday through Friday
  • Fills patient rooms as needed
  • General knowledge of clinical and surgical procedure requirements
  • COA, COT preferred
