Job Description

Position: Material and Production Planner

Location: North Carolina (On-Site)

Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in purchasing and planning, ideally within a manufacturing setting

Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Supply Chain; APICS Buyer/planner is preferred

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: M-F 8am - 5pm

Pay: $80,000/yr


Greene Resources is seeking a Material and Production Planner to join a growing and dynamic team!


:

  • Develop and execute material replenishment plan to meet production schedule
  • Serve as primary contact for day to day plan execution with US Sales Office
  • Develop and implement detailed production plan across all production lines to meet customer and business needs
  • Develop detailed plant production schedule based on input from customer requirements and Demand planning teams (Production Line by Day)
  • Work closely with Warehouse and Logistics team to ensure space and resources are managed efficiently and material is available to production teams on the production floor
  • Work closely with material vendors to adjust deliveries as needed to ensure 100% material availability for production
  • Release purchase orders to packaging and raw material vendors to ensure 100% material availability based on inputs from MRP planning
  • Integrate delivery plan with warehouse team to ensure best use of resources
  • Maintain master data of ERP to accurately show availability of production work centers
  • Provide feedback and updated ship schedules to Sales Office and Demand Planning team
  • Act as support & backup for the team’s responsibilities


Position Requirements:

  • Experience working in an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Understanding of materials management and warehouse fundamentals
  • Experience working with vendors to make and execute delivery plans
  • Experience with primary and tertiary packaging materials
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel -- Must be able to use Formulas, pivot tables, and import text files to spreadsheets
  • Advanced understanding of MRP planning concepts
