We are currently accepting applications for a full-time direct hire Master Scheduler to join a growing team in the Pittsburgh area! Please apply without delay as interviewing will start immediately.
Role: Responsible for the management of a team of planners who develops and implements a master production schedule that is linked to the monthly sales and operation (S&OP) plan. Plans and establishes production schedules, monitors material inventories and works in collaboration with the Inventory and Warehouse Manager and Supply Chain team, tracks production progress, reviews factors which affect production and recommends remedial action. Responsible for ensuring that all timelines related to the supply chain are adhered to and proceed in an efficient manner in order to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Main Job Duties:
1. Maintain accuracy of the daily production schedules for all departments to set achievable targets.
2. Use capacity planning tools to make necessary recommendations to the Production team to change production rates and/or line configurations with available labor.
3. Develop sales and operation planning reports which include current and future demand and an operations plan designed to satisfy customer requirements. Holds monthly S&OP meetings to report previous performance and communicate current and future plans as well as identifies any issues with achieving plan. Frequently updates team on performance against plan.
4. Develop and maintain rules of engagement for order management including master scheduling policy.
5. Develops and maintains Master Production Schedule to ensure past due orders are minimized.
6. Provide daily production/shipping performance updates against established goal.
7. Evaluate the impact of expedited orders on the production plan and provide feedback to CSS’s.
8. Participate in scheduling of new products (samples, first production runs, etc.)
9. Assesses performance, analyzes sales orders and forecasts and communicates risks to the
organizations while recommending corrective actions.
Education: BS in Business, Operations Management or related or equivalent combination of education and experience. An APICS certification is desired.
Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning and supply chain
activities.
