Master Electrician Jobs

Location: Oakland, MS

Shift: M-F( with weekend availability for projects)

In search of a Master electrician who will oversee and manage electrical systems. And ensure the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and techniques while complying with industry regulations and standards. Your expertise in electrical systems and leadership skills will be essential in coordinating and supervising a team of electricians.

Skills

• 12+ months of manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• Maintain and repair automated equipment (packaging machinery), hydraulic equipment, compressor and refrigeration units, freezer doors, scale, electronic boards, AC/DC drives, PLC, electric hoists, pumps, microwave equipment, and all food processing equipment within our facility.
• Read and comprehends basic blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Safety and Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety protocols, relevant electrical codes, and regulations.
• Read and understands test meters.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose electrical issues and develop effective solutions.
• Compliance with GMP Standards: Implement electrical systems and procedures in compliance with GMP regulations to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and quality of food products.
• The master electrician will develop projects, get permits for construction and installations if needed, and oversees the work of journeymen and others.
• Installation and Upgrades: Oversee the installation and upgrade of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, ensuring they meet industry standards and GMP requirements.
• Understanding of maintenance and installation of the facility plumbing system, boilers, air compressors, and hydraulic system
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Sanitation Practices (GSP)

Requirements:

• Master Electrician License: Hold a valid master electrician license or certification.
• GMP Experience: Demonstrated experience working in food manufacturing—an environment with a thorough understanding of GMP regulations.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in electrical installations, inspections, and maintenance.

Job Types: Full-time,

Salary: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
• Day shift
• 12 hour shift

Experience:

• Electrician license: 3 years (Preferred)
• Electrical codes: 3 years (Preferred)
• Schematics: 3 years (Preferred)
• Ability to lead a team.: 3 years (Preferred)
• PLC: 3 years (Preferred)
• 0-480V: 3 years (Preferred)
• Manage electrical projects: 3 years (Preferred)
