JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician is responsible for maintaining, repairing all existing electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshooting PLC's while ensuring all company safety rules and policies are followed .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Execute electrical-related inspections and report accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Run conduit and electrically terminate wiring in industrial equipment, interpret input and output modules, and operate a variety of tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies by utilizing lean and 5s principles
  • Perform Electrical preventative maintenance of electrical control panels and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety standards
  • Maintain and repair all existing electrical equipment in production areas and
  • Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
  • Troubleshooting PLC's by utilizing ladder diagrams and schematics.
  • Actively participate in the preventative maintenance program
  • Work with company engineering on electrical upgrade and new equipment installs
  • Utilize troubleshooting techniques to analyze, detect, and determine the nature of a problem, and extent of repairs required
  • Comply with Safety Policies
  • Must place the upmost importance on working safely, and maintain a safe work environment for self and others, always
  • Capable of utilizing mobile equipment: pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, boom lift
  • Follow and enforce company safety policies and procedures always and operate wide variety of manufacturing tools

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware and software
  • Basic knowledge of Gas burner controls
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player, reliable and high work integrity
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and motor controls
  • Close attention to detail and organized
  • Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and Software
  • Good knowledge of windows Microsoft Office (excel, word, power point, etc.)
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Must be well organized, and able to complete, and perform work orders

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade
  • 1 – 2 years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should posses the ability to:

  • Lifting heavy materials, up to 50 pounds
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat
  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various
  • Work near moving mechanical parts
  • Will be expected to conduct all assigned tasks scheduled by supervisor

Pay Range:

Min $36 – Max $42 Hourly Rate
