Job Description
Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is looking for a full-time, experienced, Massage Therapist to join the the JOI Rehabs
This position will be responsible to cover San Marco.
Hours: Full-time/40 hours/week.
This position will be responsible for treating patient in the Rehab clinics to improve joint function, muscle strength, and range of motion.
JOI staff is required to complete their COVID-19 vaccine series or obtain a medical or religious exemption by 11/15/2021 or at the time of hire after this date.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain treatment room(s) in a neat and professional manner.
  • Adhere to patient care standards and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient files after each visit.
  • Provide treatment for medical conditions or injuries as prescribed by physician.
  • Provide patients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement and stretching, strengthening and rehabilitative exercises.
Position Requirements:
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact appropriately with patients, physicians and staff.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Ability to travel between worksites may be required.
  • Ability to provide consecutive patient treatments over 6-8 hour period, based on the clinic’s needs.
  • Prior experience in a rehabilitation center preferred.
  • Valid Massage Therapist License in the State of Florida.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand and be physically active for extended periods of time. Demonstrate manual dexterity and adeptness using the hands to massage. Occasionally lift, handle and carry massage therapy equipment (up to 20-30 lbs). Assist with transfer or skillful positioning of patients. Give and receive clear verbal communication to and from patients.
