Compensation

  • Piece rate $9.25% Commission plus 20% gratuity on services.

What we're looking for

Massage therapists treat clients by using touch to manipulate the muscles and other soft tissues of the body. Therapists relieve pain, help heal injuries, improve circulation, relieve stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.

What You'll Do

  • Set up spa and work stations, and ensure cleanliness and tidiness throughout the shift.
  • Assist with keeping linens clean and tidy, and replacing them between sessions.
  • Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body
  • Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods
  • Complying with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Available to work Sunday through Saturday
  • Travel required for less than 10% of the time
  • Sterilize equipment.
  • Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients
  • Availability to work early mornings and evenings as needed
  • Provide 25, 55 or 80 minute massages to clients by appointment
  • Consult with clients regarding service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized spa facility.
  • Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions

Skills You'll Need

  • State certification for Massage Therapy
  • Commitment to on-going annual education

Technical Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Swedish, hot stone, custom massage and body scrub wrap techniques..
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills.
    • Excellent people skills.
    • Well-groomed, professional appearance.
    • Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
    • Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
