The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with clients (referring veterinarians or RDVMs) and developing marketing materials and campaigns that position our Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) and Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (LADDL) according to client needs. The Marketing Coordinator will drive customer engagement and define the VTH and LADDL brand's reputation and image in relation to the market. The Marketing Coordinator will work with the Strategic Communications team to develop content ideas, track and review content results, and support Strategic Communications initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will also provide assistance with marketing material creation and other duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
60% - Communicate and share the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory brands personally through direct client (RDVM) visits to clinics and medical facilities. Act as brand ambassador. Inform clients of services available. Enhance brand loyalty by building trust between VTH/LADDL and its clients. Gather information on client needs and client experience, and communicate information back to VTH, LADDL, Communications, and LSU Vet Med administration. Coordinate an ongoing in-person call schedule with clients and maintain brand-to-client touchpoints.
25% - Design and propose brand strategies for VTH and LADDL, using client information and feedback, market trends, LSU Vet Med goals, surveys, and research. Work with Strategic Communications to develop marketing materials aligned with strategic goals. Measure and report on the success of brand strategy efforts. Produce written material for newsletters, website, and social media to communicate VTH/LADDL news and activities to clients and LSU Vet Med faculty, staff and students. Organize product launches and promotional events as needed.
5% - Provides creative design, photography or video support as needed.
5% - Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set therein.
5% - Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience.
Specific Experience in a client relationship role within a team of communications and creative professionals (media, marketing, advertising, communications, public relations).

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience.

Special and Physical Qualifications:
Essential Personnel - This position may be required to report to campus in times of emergency and/or closure per PS-18.
FERPA - As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services.
