Job Description
Essential Functions of the Job: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:


Tradeshow & Event Management


  • Manage the inventory, review, updates, and production of show/event materials across vendors and in office.
  • Proactive in generating ideas and anticipating needs of the department and company.
  • Act as a training resource on trade show event process and other specialist functions.
  • Strong understanding of product including new product launches and marketing tools, and how they apply to target customer audiences.
  • Manage budget and cost effectiveness goals.
  • Coordination of on-site set-up with vendor and show/event participation with internal teams.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to do whatever it takes to make the creative solution stronger; always be open and respond constructively to new ideas, direction, and feedback.
  • Ensure alignment of shows/events with product offering, corporate messaging, and brand standards.
  • Lead cross-functional planning process and develop project plans.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Work with Brand and Creative teams and/or vendors on booth and booth element designs to ensure industry-leading presentation quality.
  • Maintain the annual trade shows/events calendar.
  • Manage planning, logistics and execution of customer trade shows and events.
  • Assist with show/event public relations, social media, advertising planning and website updates, as needed to develop integrated event / trade show program based on show strategy.
  • Manage tradeshow & event support services, develop, and maintain relationships, communicate effectively with internal teams and outside vendors.
  • Provide on-site event support for shows/events, as needed; ability to clearly articulate the value of AHF Products solutions showcased – product knowledge.
  • Participation in RFP/RFQ processes as needed for exhibit companies and show/event elements as well as compliance with corporate polices for sourcing, purchasing, and accounting.


Travel


  • Occasional travel will be required (~20% average with some months up to 50%)


Qualifications


  • 1 - 2 years marketing, marketing communications experience or project management experience
  • A. or B.S. in marketing or related field


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities


  • Excellent project management skills
  • Expertise in multiple marketing communication functional areas
  • Ability to transport/carry/lift boxes at show site, office or a hotel using hand-trucks and carts, etc.
  • Ability to creatively think and problem solve.
  • Demonstrate an exceptional work ethic with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability and desire to work in a very fast-paced, high volume, hands-on, multi-task work environment.
  • Ability to build/maintain/leverage strong relationships.
  • Possess a drive to do great work with a positive attitude and willing to go the “extra mile” when necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Practices active listening and is able to accurately digest and execute on direction, yet still demonstrate independent initiative and thought process.
  • Ability to work in a loud trade show construction site with a focus on safety during install/dismantle.

  • Lift, move and carry product samples for review, customer setup or staging purposes.
  • Push, pull, carry and lift in the normal course of work.
  • Concentrate and repeat the same physical activities over and over.
  • Move between different physical locations within buildings.
  • Sit and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Repetitive motion of hands/wrists/fingers

Work Environment


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job.


  • Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment when entering the floor of manufacturing facilities based on the specific requirements of each location.
  • Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions with standard level of noise common to an office environment including office equipment and co-workers speaking to each other and on phones.
