As a member of the Communications team, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator will help shape and execute overarching communications strategy; advance key priorities of the Dean; promote faculty research; market degree and professional programs; strengthen relationships with sponsors and partners; support infusing DEI throughout the fabric of the School; and build the SDS brand as a leading and innovative institution at home, to the data science and research communities, and to a broad and diverse audience.

  • Monitor, manage and report on comments, private messages, interactions, engagement and paid social media efforts; moderate, reply, or escalate as appropriate
  • Maintain the social media calendar to ensure frequent and relevant content in support of a variety of programs, news features, research and events
  • Create and curate meaningful, engaging content across a variety of digital platforms to increase engagement with and promote the visibility of the School of Data Science, while amplifying our people, programs, and place
  • Help develop and execute content strategies to attract and engage internal and external audiences while promoting SDS brand awareness and authority

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people from a wide variety of offices and backgrounds and maintain a positive atmosphere while working under time constraints and deadlines
  • Knowledge of HTML, Drupal, and other CMS/back-end programming tools
  • High-level attention to detail as well as demonstrated communication, listening, writing and proofing skills; AP Style Guide expertise preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing on social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn
