Overview
AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, is a wholly-owned taxable subsidiary of AARP. AARP Services manages the provider relationships for and performs quality control oversight of the wide range of products and services that carry the AARP name and are made available by independent providers as benefits to AARP’s millions of members. The provider offers currently span health products, financial products, travel and leisure products, and life event services. Specific products include Medicare supplemental insurance; credit cards, auto and home, mobile home and motorcycle insurance, life insurance and annuities; member discounts on rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and lodging; special offers on technology and gifts; pharmacy services and legal services. AARP Services also engages in new product development activities for AARP and provides certain consulting services to outside companies.
As the Marketing Analyst, reporting to the Director of Financial Marketing, you will assist with fulfilling ASI’s commitments to marketing oversight, brand stewardship, and enhancing the member experience with AARP / ASI’s commercial Provider programs in the financial portfolio line of business. You will assist in developing multi-channel marketing campaigns and program strategies to achieve varied business objectives and measurable KPIs; communicating plans clearly with internal or external teams, clients, and leadership; tracking and assessing campaign results and adjusting strategies as well as plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Reviews the success of past marketing campaigns in order to inform future marketing strategies and support reports to leadership. Assesses the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new opportunities and marketing strategies most relevant to the target audiences.
  • Consults with other internal teams and senior staff to deliver effective programs and other client offerings. May collaborate with external agencies, partners, or clients to shape campaigns and incorporate recommendations.
  • Assists with planning, creation, production process, and execution of various strategic communications initiatives that support the organization and/or external clients.
  • Assists in aligning with marketing guidelines, best practices, and brand stewardship for internal and external clients.
  • Creates proposals, presentations, and other materials using product information, data, and media insights to maximize sales and program participation.
Qualifications
  • Creativity in problem-solving and alternative solutions
  • Ability to toggle between multiple priorities at the same time at a fast and efficient pace
  • Industry knowledge of insurance, real estate and/or financial products preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others on projects and assignments to achieve optimal results
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in marketing and communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in partner/affinity marketing and/or oversight of external marketing relationships preferred
  • Solid experience in direct-to-consumer marketing experience, especially in direct mail, digital, and social marketing
  • Ability to travel to provider meetings/events (10% to 15%)

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
