Role: Market Research & Data Analytics Intern

Who we are: EmTech Care Labs is an early-stage digital health startup developing a care management platform for family caregivers of older adults with dementia.

Who you are: Excited about driving health and financial wellness especially for older adults and their family caregivers, and working with a fast-paced startup in its early stages.

General role expectations: Assist the Founder in conducting market research, data gathering & analysis for supplementing product development. This role entails:

• Supporting our data strategies to inform and advance product development:

1. Identifying data sources and conduct relevant data evaluation & validation
2. Collecting relevant datasets, evaluating/parsing/validating/analyzing data and developing models for appropriate use of data
3. Structuring large data sets to find usable information
4. Gathering information about relevant APIs for data extraction
5. Using graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data

• Supporting surveys and focus groups for product testing and user feedback
• Conducting detailed consumer research for target market validation and go-to-market partnership and channel identification

Requirements/other expectations:

• Also considering contractors for a 3-6 month timeframe
• Academic and/or real-world exposure to market research and data analysis required, specifically data source identification through primary & secondary market research, data collection, data modeling and dataset creation
• Be curious and creative about navigating new tasks
• Be flexible; we are a young startup! You will work directly with the Founder and have the opportunity to contribute to the future of this venture
• Position would be ideal for undergraduate (juniors or seniors) and graduate students majoring in social services, geriatric care, healthcare, business, finance and/or technology, and could also be eligible for academic credit
• Candidate should either be knowledgeable or curious to learn more about home healthcare, with an eye towards care in multi-generational families and under-served communities. Please include your expression of interest regarding healthcare/older adult care in your application

NOTE: Seeking candidates located in New England region, but work will be done remotely. This is a full-time internship over a 3-6 month period, with the potential for evolving into a full-time employee role.
