Job Description
Your Opportunity: Marketing General Incorporated, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for an experienced Market Research Analyst to join the Research Department. This role is client-facing so strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The position will require analysis and interpretation of statistical data, and presentations to executives and key stakeholders with an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
As a Market Research Analyst, you will be responsible for leading qualitative and quantitative marketing research projects, often from conception to presentation. This position works closely with our Account Management, Business Development, and Data Services teams, and the ability to collaborate, pivot, multi-task and think critically is important.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Proactively and independently manage qualitative and quantitative research projects from inception through completion (defining the research design and scope, questionnaire design, discussion guide development, programming, data analysis, report writing and presentation of results) ensuring that projects are completed on time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional department heads to ensure all involved with a project kept up-to-date.
  • Use research findings to create actionable recommendations that help our clients meet their membership goals.
  • Participate in MGI brainstorming and recommendations of research applications to grow client business, which may include review and analysis of current and past client research as available.
  • Work with the Business Development team to meet with prospective clients, confidently discussing research needs and proposing specific research plans in accordance with outlined objectives.
  • Provide other services and support to MGI staff and clients as needed.
  • Identify and comprehend client’s business needs to translate them effectively and frame the research objectives.

You Must Have:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic statistics and statistical analyses, research procedures, and survey methodologies
  • Proficiency with Qualtrics survey platform
  • Able to relay information in a manner easily understood by others and draw conclusions from data
  • Organizational and time management skills; detail- and solution-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, plus four+ years in the marketing research field developing and executing primary research
  • Experience with qualitative research methodologies, moderation of focus groups, and in-depth interviews
  • Experience with a data analysis tool (SPSS, MarketSight, R)
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and consistently to meet deadlines
  • Strong experience with quantitative research, including survey design, and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) programs

We Would Also Prefer:
  • Master’s degree or higher in Research, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Sciences or other related discipline
  • Experience with data visualization software (Tableau)
  • Experience with associations/non-profits
  • Able to develop and conceive innovative research concepts to meet diverse client needs
