Manufacturing Technician 4 - Days
Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm
The current wage for this position is $24.50/hour
Sign On Bonus - $1,500

This highly visible position located at our Victorville, CA Facility.
What you’ll do:
This position will be responsible for assisting the Production Coordinator / Operations Manager in a working capacity, to help direct the workflow and operational functions of a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for safety, quality and productivity of all equipment associated with both Liquid and non-liquid high-speed manufacturing lines including, fillers, case former, case sealer, case packer, etc.
Essential Functions:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform machine set-up and changeovers.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams to identify and resolve areas of downtime, such as Changeover reduction, etc.
  • Computer operation including entering production information into the manufacturing system.
  • Perform product quality tests, including but not limited to, pH, viscosity, product inspection, weight control, cap torque and finished product inspection.
  • Perform line performance troubleshooting and maintenance as needed to include replacement of machine components as necessary.
  • Lead manufacturing technicians in day-to-day operations with guidance from production coordinator and operations manager
  • Responsible to always promote a safety culture and awareness within the plant and their area. Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Perform line preventative maintenance, including adjustment, alignment, and lubrication of machinery.
  • Safe and efficient packaging line operation to meet or exceed all quality, scheduling, and customer requirements.
  • Set-up and operate check weigher, bottle coder, case coder and/or inkjet coder as needed.
  • Assist with the training and certification program as needed.
What you’ll need:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience production line operation experience in a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be certified as Manufacturing Technician 3 at the Church & Dwight Victorville plant.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, shop math skills and troubleshooting ability required.
  • Prior experience working in an industrial environment requiring application of basic industrial skills such as special and temporal awareness, mechanical aptitude and process understanding
  • Forklift experience preferred (Counterbalance, Reach or Stand up).
