Responsible for preparing dough, vegetable mixes, toppings and other materials that will be used in the assembly lines. Employee is responsible for completing batch sheets properly and following the established operating procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amy's Kitchen Inc. handbook for employee, the safety manual and GMP booklet
- Report any mechanical or potential mechanical problems with equipment to the maintenance department. Malfunctioning equipment must be removed from the production line and taken to the maintenance shop if practical; otherwise a notice should be placed on the equipment and the Production Supervisor informed
- Operate processing equipment as trained
- Notify the Line lead or Supervisor of any quality, safety, or mechanical problems
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Understand formulas and procedures for prep work including but not limited to: dough mixing, potato mixing, blancher operations, cheese cutting, baking times, and other special cooking performed in production
- Understand quality standards for each product
- Wear personal protective gear as assigned
- Maintain a clean work area and perform housekeeping procedures as needed.
- Take proper precautions and use all equipment safely
- Inform team leader or supervisor of any deviations to the process
- Be punctual and have excellent attendance
- Follow procedures according to the batch sheets or other approved document
- Maintain established standards for line speeds and quality
- Ability to complete reports as necessary
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
During peak season or base on company needs overtime is required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory duties.

EDUCATION
Less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 6 months of experience as heavy lifter and maintain a good record.
SKILLS
Language Skills
- Ability to complete simple forms
- Ability to verbally communicate with supervisor
- Ability to read simple instructions in English and Spanish
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
