Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee our power transformer production facility. The Manufacturing Manager be responsible for managing all aspects of the transformer manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient and timely production of high-quality power transformers. In addition, they will be handling lamination, final assembly & tanking responsibilities. Your expertise in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and team leadership will be crucial in meeting production goals, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining a safe working environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Oversees Transformer Assembly Line & Lamination Departments
  • Trains employees for best practices and encourages associates to adhere to safety protocols
  • Train employees on safe work practices and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Reads blueprints to assemble mechanical devices and directs/ leads the assembly team
  • Sets up daily/weekly/monthly goals with employees and strives to ensure team consistently meets or beats goals
  • Lead a diverse team of manufacturing personnel, including supervisors, technicians, and operators, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
  • Provides supervision to the Team Leaders and employees who handle transformer production and design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and procurement, to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and collaboration among team members.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the manufacturing of power transformers, adhering to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate corrective actions.


Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Must be able to speak English, Spanish speaking is a plus!
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Must have at least 5 years' experience in large & industrial manufacturing setting
  • Must be familiar with the terms: High-Voltage & Low-Voltage lead formation, Coil Pressing, Taping, Lugging, Coil Wedging, Magnetic Lamination, Bus Bar Assembly
  • Transformer manufacturing is REQUIRED
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing organization
