Job Overview


Schedule: Monday - Friday (2nd shift: 1PM-9:30PM). Weekends/holidays are mandatory based on business needs.


The Manufacturing Maintenance Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting assigned production equipment in the execution of the daily production schedule according to the SOP for “complex“ production equipment. This position is also responsible for responding promptly to equipment breakdown and repairing the machinery in a timely manner; performing planned and unscheduled work, making design improvements, and process changes to improve overall production while completing assigned Preventative Maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal unproductive time and materials
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality products by following all safety requirements when performing work
  • Correctly completing all assigned PMs, ensuring minimal unplanned stops, and correctly filling out all paperwork or electric systems; work orders, part usage, and order forms
  • Performs housekeeping to ensure assigned work area is neat and orderly, including completing 5S and recycling activities and inspecting and cleaning change parts as needed
  • Performs necessary pre-operation activities including but not limited to completing assigned start-up Preventative Maintenance and ensuring proper equipment start-up and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
  • Performs steps necessary to conduct flavor and package changes accurately and efficiently, and handles proper shut-downs to minimize downtime wasted resources by using advanced troubleshooting skills, determining root cause and establishing solutions, and assisting continuous improvement efforts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Make mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic adjustments
  • Ability to comprehend complex processing equipment
  • Read and follow SOPs or instructions
  • Competency in monitoring and adjusting equipment speeds, temperatures, and liquid levels
  • Computer skills
  • Advanced knowledge with preferred 2 plus years experience in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment, and, or certification of technical schooling in this area
  • Preferred demonstrated ability to operate effectively assigned equipment
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Individual needs to process initiative to further technical expertise
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex process issues
  • Preferred ability to read blueprints and machine schematics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
  • High school diploma or GED
