Job Description
Job Overview


  • Maintenance and servicing of utility and facility-related equipment under the guidance of the Plant Engineer.
  • Providing assistance and training to fellow maintenance staff for tasks like repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), and equipment rebuilds.
  • Carrying out all tasks in alignment with Sonoco's quality and safety guidelines.
  • Overseeing minor projects aimed at maintaining or enhancing equipment.
  • Installation and upkeep of additional equipment as needed for production purposes.
  • Working in close coordination with other departments and teams to address issues proactively.
  • Ensuring a safe, tidy, and well-organized workspace.


Must- Haves


  • Actively engages in preventive maintenance tasks such as FMEA's, RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action), and Analytical Troubleshooting (ATS). Proficient in the maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment. This includes a strong grasp of lubrication principles and ensuring proper lubrication application.
  • Proficient in the precise installation of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment, following OEM specifications.
  • Possesses technical skills for repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, electrical, and robotic equipment.
