Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager position provides project leadership and oversight for specific projects from order to shipment. This is accomplished through strong organizational and communications skills along with excellent critical and forward-thinking abilities.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Provides reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders
• Act as the point person for coordination, planning, and implementation of a project
• Coordinates appropriate personnel for resolution deviations and to maintain project deliverables
• Generate accurate cost estimates in a timely manner
• Creates timelines for projects completion
• Reviews planned order needs and generates Manufacturing Machine Shop Router packets as required
• Acts as the catalyst to coordinate communication across departments, works closely with production supervisor and supports the team
• Effectively coordinate with the needed parties to solve critical requirements of the project in real time
• Facilitates the execution of the scope, goals, and deliverables
• Work with Procurement and Engineering to optimize design-for-manufacturing (DFM) across a broad spectrum of products
• Monitor projects and production order budgets; mitigating cost variations as practical

Qualifications:

Required

• Experience in risk management
• Ability to travel domestically 5%
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 60 lbs. unassisted. Assistance must be used for any items over this weight. Assistance is always required for anything weighing over 60 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints
• Proficient in project management software
• High level of initiative, judgment, and discipline
• Proven experience in tactical project planning
• Ability to work independently and in a highly dynamic environment
• Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing including but not limited to welding, fabricating, and machining of a variety of materials or equivalent experience
• Expert level communication and organization skills
• Associates degree in STEM or related field
• Minimum of three years project management experience in an industrial environment

Preferred:

• Certified Project Management Professional
• Basic CAD software understanding
• Certified Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt
• Hands-on experience as a machinist and or welder
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field
• GD&T knowledge
