Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for molding equipment and assembly process daily support, equipment uptime and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in validating new equipment and molding tooling and processes as part of New Product Development launches
  • On an ongoing basis, perform Molding Process monitoring, analyze and identify process elements not in control and lead continuous improvement efforts
  • Use technical expertise to support needs related to the Injection Molding and Plastic Assembly operations including:
  • Review OEE, Labor and process efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Manufacturing Engineering Ownership of Engineering Changes related product and processes
  • Responsible for molding equipment and assembly process daily support, equipment uptime and continuous improvement with technical support from Functional Process and Tooling Engineers
  • Ensure that quality levels and industry standards and company best practices are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes

Experience

Required
  • B.S. Degree in Polymer Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering with focus on Polymer Processing or A.S. in Polymer Engineering and 5+ years of Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • 3-5 years of experience in a plastics manufacturing environment
Preferred
  • RJG (or similar) training is a plus

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Industrial Engineering or related field
