Job Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate dynamically with plant production staff, plant materials department, manufacturing engineers and component suppliers in order to implement significant improvements in component quality (defect reduction) to achieve high levels of customer service, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Design, develop and comply with testing procedures, participate in supplier evaluations, create and revise product drawings
  • Constantly provide technical support and leadership to a designated product line. Including day-to-day problem solving and long-term strategic direction for the product sustaining
  • Be one of the primary interfaces between engineering, operations, quality and marketing organizations


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. Degree in a Technical or Mechanical Engineering discipline is required
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in Injection molding plastic experience; Plastic component design; Plastic processing; SolidWorks experience at work not in school
  • Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills (DMAIC)
