Job Description

Who We Are Looking For

AGCO is looking for an innovative Manufacturing Engineer to work at our Assumption, Illinois location! As the Manufacturing Engineer you will aide in effectively bringing to market new products in collaboration with our manufacturing operations sites across North America. In this role you will help ensure that farmers receive the Grain and Protein products they need at the right time!


What You Will Do

  • Document work instructions and time study analysis to aide in achieving these standards on the shop floor with the operations team.
  • Lead and participate in the completion of pre-production activities. This includes the development of standard production rates, production routings, process flow charts, develop and procure fixtures and quality gauging / tooling required, creation of work instructions, and support PPAP efforts.
  • Assist operations and design engineering in the identification and understanding of causes leading to: low productivity, low utilization of labor or equipment and/or missed shipments (MUDA analysis), Operator Pace Rating, and Kaizen ideas.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across plants and locations.
  • Develop and maintain time standard tables for cycle time and cost to manufacture of products (maintain and use aPriori Labor Costing Software). Work cross-functionally with accounting and operations on these standards as required


What You Will Bring

  • Understanding of warehouse, work cell and facility layout, assembly line balancing concepts and material flow analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Process Engineering/Technology or related field, or eight or more years of related work experience.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of labor standard setting techniques, cost analysis in manufacturing and software solutions like ProPlanner, TimerPro, aPriori, or Team Center Product Cost preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

  • Ability to organize work and effectively manage a variety of projects at the same time, while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to be proactive and independent, taking initiative.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and provide practical solutions to ongoing process issues.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
