GENERAL SUMMARY:
Victoria’s Secret Beauty is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to join the team! This role manages personal care product launches at contract manufacturers across the United States. This position will also focus on continuous improvement of processes and formulas to deliver cost savings, improved quality, and lead times reductions. This person is a highly solution-oriented partner with an ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Execution (70%)
- Lead cross-functional meetings with both internal and external partners to update technical information
- Responsible for manufacturing process development, scale-up of new formulas and transfer of technology to ensure product launches meet expectations in the areas of quality, cost and timing
- Support manufacturing and alternate sourcing strategies
- Initiate and manage technology transfer to new suppliers
- Organize and conduct pilot production (bulk compounding) and line trials (labeling and filling trials) to ensure smooth transition from development to production
- Assess and validate filling, labeling, and pack-out equipment
- Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners to ensure development timelines can be met
- Manufacturing processes refer to the bulk compounding, filling, capping, labeling and assembly for personal care products
- Validate alternate raw materials and components
Issue Management (15%)
- Identify and track risk analysis to evaluate production success
- Partner and drive issue resolution with internal and external teams to improve output, scrap, etc.
Vendor Performance (15%)
- Assess, audit, and develop new vendor onboarding
- Participate in supplier improvement plans and provide feedback for vendor scorecard
- Initiate, research, and implement value engineering principles to reduce costs, lead time, and quality concerns
Maximum Salary: $110,775.00
VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to travel 30%-40% domestically and international
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly/concisely through oral and written methods
- Experience in project management, manufacturing processes, statistical techniques and GMP
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, personal care/home fragrance manufacturing experience preferred
- Must demonstrate problem solving capability and the ability to work through large amounts of data to generate conclusions and develop action plans
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical or Natural Sciences.
