NOV Rig Technologies is currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and immediately report any machines or tool malfunction to supervisor in charge.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc. to compare work pieces to predetermined specifications.
  • Select holding methods and determine proper sequence of machining operation utilizing routing sheets, work drawings and/or verbal instructions.
  • Operate hoist to load and unload work pieces when necessary.
  • Work with minimum of supervision and instructions.
  • Perform turning, facing, boring, drilling and tapping, chases threads, machines tapers, and other allied operations such as shaft straightening.
  • Set up and operate manual machines including Mills, Drills, Shears, Engine and Turret Lathes, etc.
  • Exercise judgment relative to quality and finish of work piece.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to operate Engine lathes, horizontal boring mills, (Manual), vertical turret lathes (Manual), drill press and mills required
  • Ability to operate Manual Machines
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • 3-5 years experience
