JOB SUMMARY

We are hiring for a dependable and enthusiastic Remote Managing Director of Real Estate. This Managing Director of Real Estate will be expected to lead the implementation of extensive initiatives, plans, programs, and strategies across all business units while ensuring that the property management functions and the company's long-term goals are achieved and aligned.

• Interact with all stakeholders to ensure operations meet contractual requirements and partnership expectations
• Work with cross-functional departments to manage and guide the development of strategic plans, annual goals, budgets, and schedules
• Lead the property management function within the budgeted financial goals and fee generation across the national portfolio
• Develop operational strategies that align with the vision and goals of the company, for both short- and long-term business opportunities
• Ensure appropriate customer service programs and evaluation processes are in place to match company standards and expectations
• Oversee the analysis of occupancy, operational, income, expense, customer satisfaction, etc. data to identify operational issues and develop strategies to address any areas of concern
• Ensure that operational systems, processes, controls, and personnel all maximize business opportunities and manage risk

QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years of experience managing regional and/or national portfolio leaders and corporate support staff is required
• Ability to travel 50% or more of the time
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is required
• Currently overseeing or have overseen up to 40,000+ units is required
• Experience working in conventional, student, LIHTC, subsidized, and/or government housing properties is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and competency in Property Management software or equivalent industry-related software is required such as Yardi, Onesite, RealPage etc.
• Demonstrated success in business plan execution, staff development and team building

COMPENSATION

• Compensation commensurate with experience
• $300K - $350K Base with bonus structure - may meet or exceed these amounts
