The Manager of Team Travel reports to the Director of Procurement & Travel. The Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Team Members’ travel coordination and logistics. Leads a team of Supervisors, Specialists, and Coordinators to ensure the efficient management of Team Members’ travel arrangements. This role involves developing and implementing travel policies, optimizing travel processes, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with regulations and budgets. For the position, the candidate will have strong decision-making skills, data-driven approach and mindset, represent Breeze’s values through communication, and understand best practices in airline travel operations. They will excel in partnering with various departments to result in a successful travel experience.


Here’s What You’ll Do


  • Partnering with Procurement on sourcing hotels, car rental agreements, and corporate airline agreements.
  • Reporting and presenting to senior management on travel spend for the entire company.
  • Responsible for all travel spend at Breeze.
  • Identifying opportunities to be more efficient and effective with our travel spend.
  • Review and approve payroll for hourly Team Members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Lead a team providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective performance, productivity, and career development.
  • Work closely with the Director on updating company policies, processes, and automation ensuring compliance with industry regulations and budgets
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as Team Services, Crew Services, Charters, Training, Procurement, Finance, Pass Bureau, and executive teams, to align travel management strategies.
  • Develop and implement a travel strategy aligned with Breeze’s goals, budget, Team Members’ satisfaction, and operational efficiency providing regular reports to leadership.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, working with Procurement on contract negotiations as well as monitoring their performance to ensure quality service.
Here’s what you need to be successful


Minimum Qualifications


  • 5 years of experience with managing operational teams preferably on areas related to travel
  • Knowledge of travel booking systems.
  • Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple travel requests simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate booking information, travel documentation, and expense tracking.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience overseeing customer service-oriented teams
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to provide exceptional support to Team Members, anticipating their needs and resolving concerns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Team Members, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, and handle unexpected situations efficiently.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with creating and executing Training Programs
  • FARs knowledge
  • Experience with technical writing
  • NavBlue or other CMS experience
  • Travel bookings experience
