Our directive is to partner with the Executive Leadership Team, General Managers, and functional leaders to accelerate the company's overall strategy by enabling the success of cross-platform products, services and cross functional initiatives. The role will be in Strategic Insights within our Acceleration Center. The team serves three key objectives:


  • Help “trail blaze” and conceptualize key topics by developing analytical models, dashboards and insights
  • Supporting other teams to help accelerate their efforts
  • Supporting teams within the Acceleration Center with data and insight needs


About the Role:


As our Manager, you'll report into the head of Strategy, Operations & Special Projects within Cisco's Acceleration Center and will work with other AC leaders. You will be a versatile strategic problem solver and doer. Collaborate on exciting projects with team members and leaders from across AC and Cisco on a variety of analytical topics such as:


  • Growth Opportunities Identification – e.g., new technologies, use cases
  • Operating Model Excellence – e.g., strategic allocation of OPEX across function & geographies
  • Sales Operations Support – e.g., data-based identification of efficiency drivers, cross-sell opportunities
  • Go-To-Market Model Analyses – e.g., identifying segments and/or coverage models based on data


What You'll Do


:


Develop compelling and insightful strategic recommendations for leadership and team. Help build insights and visualization tools and dashboards that allow teams to drive business decision. Manage the strategic insights work portfolio and lead the evolution and management of the function and team of analysts. Gather and analyze sophisticated data shrewdly and expeditiously. Drive the "right" conversation at the senior level on risks and roadblocks. Enable and lead a culture of high organizational performance through partnerships and collaboration


Who you are:


  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years of proven experience
  • Discretion: demonstrated ability to handle high level sensitive and confidential information is necessary; must possess mature judgment and discretion in keeping sensitive information confidential
  • Project Management: Run a set of competing priorities across the team and ensure delivery of all projects on time while partnering with collaborators
  • Expertise with modeling & analytical insight tools: You are highly comfortable using suite of analytical tools including (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL) along with familiarity with other technologies to drive insight and automation (Python). Experience with sophisticated ML models a plus.
  • Executive level communication skills: your written (including PowerPoint) and verbal communication is compelling and precise in both in-person and virtual settings. Quickly take complex concepts and communicate them concisely, and persuasively. Demonstrated experience with communicating at the executive level of a large company or org. Effectively navigate and engage senior-level partners and leaders to shape discussions and drive outcomes.
  • Collaboration and partnership expert: you have outstanding cross-organization collaboration-building skills, including influencing teams with multiple different priorities. You are a dynamic teammate able to build senior-level & peer-to-peer relationships across a diverse audience in order to challenge and shape perspectives. In past roles, you have been sought out as an active voice in driving groups to alignment.
  • Data Driven problem-solving leader: you're a problem solver with a strategic focus who can break down complex, ambiguous problems into component parts and align data to answer questions. You come up with creative ways of resolving these issues. You lead on and enjoy both strategic and tactical work is key.
  • Ownership mentality: you have high initiative, self-starting capabilities and can drive accelerated progress, often without decision-rights. You demonstrate the ability to identify and seize opportunities for impact in ambiguous contexts without direction or oversight. You have a sense of humbleness with no job being too big or too small to undertake.
  • Experience in Sales Strategy/Business Development/Operations/Insights a plus
  • Executional excellence: you have the organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, and generalist abilities to take on a wide range of high priority tasks in support of AC & the leadership team. You are detailed and always deliver high quality work. Multitasking and understanding how to prioritize tasks based on importance vs. immediacy
