As part of our global real estate and facilities team, this newly created position will sit in our Natick headquarters and lead a global team of Regional Facility Management professionals overseeing 30+ field offices across the US, APAC, and EMEA regions to support over 3,000 MathWorks staff in all aspects of office management. Leveraging the headquarters standards and practices, and relationships with functional leaders, you will direct our regional team to support all aspects of office management. You will work closely with senior leadership to collaborate on services and amenities to provide best in class offices worldwide.

Management and Relationships:

  • Support each region with routine office visits providing input and feedback on the office look and feel ensuring the high-quality design standards and practices are being maintained.
  • Build a strong relationship with the office Location Leads having an open communication line for all offices.
  • Ensure the company office service group programs, best practices, and processes are implemented and followed worldwide.

Workplace Services:

  • Work with headquarters, vendors, and local leadership to provide and support the right food services and amenities for each region and office.
  • Lead the team to select providers for housekeeping, supplies, reception, shipping/receiving, and mail services leveraging relationships across locations, countries, and regions.
  • Direct the programs and practices for all space planning & management, on-boarding, moves, adds, changes, and furniture, etc. for the region.

Facility Operations:

  • Health & Safety, compliance, and ergonomics will require partnering with various functional and location leads to meet all requirements worldwide.
  • Lead field efforts to manage access control and physical security ensuring best practices for facility and staff.
  • Partner with HQ functional leadership to drive and support worldwide initiatives in energy, carbon neutral, recycling, and waste reduction efforts.

Communications:

  • Ensure consistent best practices are followed in all field offices to communicate with staff regarding facility operations.
  • Utilize corporate applications to provide timely and informative communications to our staff worldwide.
  • Manage escalations of raised topics and issues with urgency and responsiveness.

  • Understanding of industry processes and requirements.
  • Willing to travel up to 10-12% worldwide.
  • Strength in negotiating, consulting and influencing decisions of key stakeholders, internal clients, and external vendors.
  • Vendor management experience setting strategy and direction.
  • Experience in a corporate office setting with a leadership role across regions
  • Problem solver with ability to organize multiple priorities, tasks, and requests
  • Ability to think innovatively to create the best experience for our employees from a workplace services and operations perspective.

  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 2 years management experience is required.
