This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.


The Manager, Mobile Applications will be responsible for helping product managers and developers create beautiful projects. Projects will require either simple wireframes, simple mockups, or full designs, with compensation depending on the complexity of the design.


You will be expected to drive effective business solutions that meet and exceed our customers' needs while utilizing skills in technical architecture, enterprise integration, and business solution implementation. The Manager, Mobile Applications will provide direct technical leadership to both enterprise client stakeholders and teams.


Job Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and lead a diverse group of software engineers
  • Partner with the stakeholders and teams to create new mobile applications and enhance existing applications
  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand business and technical needs
  • Create prototypes, design, and develop mobile applications
  • Provide clear and concise communication regarding business direction, strategy, and results
  • Provide continuous improvement in development processes, standards, and quality standards
  • Work with product owners across the business to understand market needs & vision
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as architecture, backend integration, visual design, UX teams, QA, etc.
  • Lead design efforts with scalability and sustainability as key deliverables in every project


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required


Experience Requirements

  • Proven success in delivering quality products within budget and proposed timeframes
  • Experience with cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Ability to influence clients and senior team members on key project objectives
  • Experience with continuous delivery, and DevOps
  • Flexibility and creativity in solution design, including leveraging emerging technologies
  • Ability to apply architectural design patterns across a wide range of problems
  • 8+ years of technical and architecture leadership and experience focused on mobile applications
  • Proficient in dynamic languages (i.e. Node.js) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of security, scalability, high availability, and concurrency patterns
  • Experience with Microservices is a plus
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Proficient in current development tools (Git, etc.)

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
